Trip to Sg. Passin Longhouse - Part 5 (Kids Fishing & Medical Check-up)

I was so lucky enough to catch the sunrise that morning just after i woke up at 6.45pm and it was my best sunrise picture ever.

When i was in the jetty , i saw two kids were clinging prawn on the fishing hook.

We waited for half and hour but didn't catch any fish. T_T

I saw Fishermen going out to river for fish under the early morning sun.

It was too early, the chapel is still empty.

The Sibu Dentist Department went to Sg. Passin with us too. They gave a talk about mouth cancer, taught them how to take care of their teeth and free dental check-up and free tooth extractions for them. I think the dentist had extracted more than a hundred teeth in that morning.

I was busying with these for whole morning. Recording down their weight, height, and girth for a BMI reading.

just playing around with those equipment.

And here's my turn to have a blood sugar test.

Here's my test result for blood sugar 6.8mmol/L . Considered normal.

Trip to Sg. Passin Longhouse - Part 4 (Fishing boat returning & a night in longhouse)

As the sun slowly sets down, i saw a boat was heading back to the village with some fishing accessories on boat.

As the boat get closer to the jetty, i saw a basket on boat which was filled with fishes.

The fish are loaded off the boat, cut and cleaned and ready for cook. They are so generous, they cooked those fishes for us as lunch and dinner.

When the night comes, the song started to play and everyone started to dance with them.

Some girls were presenting their dance to us.

It was crowded that night. Everyone was giving their warmest welcome to all visitors.

Those Ibans like to use their Iban dance to welcome their visitors.

After that, we were all invited to dance with them.

I was clowning around..

Had a wonderful night in longhouse..

Trip to Sg. Passin Longhouse - Part 3 (An evening in Sg. Passin)

It was a nice evening and a nice walk with BengBeng around Sg. Passin Village. We saw a lot of things that we never seen it in city.

We saw some animal bones were hanging around. Not so sure what bones were that.

and we saw some ladies were taking their bath in the river.

In Sg. Passin Longhouse, boats are the main transportation. They usually build the boat themself.

this old lady has a good skill in weaving rattan

and this old man was making a fishing net

Water is precious and never wasted. They used to collect rain water for cooking and drinking during rainy day.

Firewoods are the major sources of energy for cooking.

Ibans eat mostly jungle products. One of their favorite dish is potato leaves.

In town, we used to pet Dog and Cat. In sg. passin longhouse, they used to pet monkey as their pet.

Most of the resident in Sg. Passin pet Birds too.

I saw this cute little pig behind the longhouse. Few months later, this pig will become one of their dish on the dining table. T_T

Trip to Sg. Passin Longhouse - Part 2 (Welcoming Ceremony)

We finally arrived in S.g Passin Longhouse, after two and a half hours journey on boat. Some of the residents of Sg. Passin were waiting for us.

As we get closer to the jetty, all these man in blue batik were there welcoming us.

They are kind and friendly as they helped us carried all the bags, drinks, foods and medical equipment out from the boat.

The view of the jetty was good. The view makes me so relaxing!

This is how the longhouse looks like. (Rumah Panjang in Malay). Some of the Longhouses consist of 50-80rooms. There are six longhouses in Sg. Passin.

While we were walking along the jetty, we saw crocodile!~

All these ladies in colourful Batik were lining up to welcoming us.

They just love to take photo.

Rural Community Services. This was the purpose that we went there.

They played the traditional instrument and small drums for the opening ceremony. The thing that looks like a xylophone, it called "engkerumungs" in Iban. "Tawak" (so called - bass) and "Ketebung" (a single sided drum).

Some of them were curious about the traditional instrument. They even taught us how to play it.

After the ceremony, i saw a lonely old lady was standing outside the balcony.

Trip to Sg. Passin Longhouse - Part 1 (Express Boat)

Traveling by express boat on the Rejang River is one of Sarawak's main attractions.

This is one of the best ways to get a taste of the state's interesting hinterland. On our trip to Sg. Passin longhouse, we had hired an express boat from Sibu to Sg. Passin.

This is how the seats of the express boat look like. The seats was categories into three cabin, First class, Business class and Economy class.

While the boat was leaving from the wharf, i challenged Bengbeng to climb upstairs to the boat instead of sitting inside air-conditioned express boat.

The view from the top of the express boat was really good. I enjoyed the view so much since the weather was good.

A while later, one of the team our member started to be a little bit dizzy.

The journey took us two and a half hours to reach our destination.

Song River Restaurant - Gurney Penang

Song River Restaurant is one of the popular hawker center along the Gurney Drive Penang which my aunty Tiff claimed it has a very nice Balacan Chicken wings and Claypot Bee Hoon.

Ok, This is how the Belacan Chicken Wings look like. Crispy and yummy.. It was good and you can only found it in Penang.

and Claypot Asam Fish Bee Hoon!! Not bad too, but i still prefer Claypoy Bee Hoon.

Bali Hai Seafood Restaurant - Penang (The Food Paradise)

Penang is an island of endless food stalls which you can found best food everywhere. Penang is also well known for being the Food Paradise of Malaysia and also in Asia. Penang offers plenty of good and cheap Malaysian food. Beside that, Penang is also known as a heaven of Seafood.

One of the well known Seafood Restaurant in Penang called "Bali Hai Seafood Market". Bali Hai specialises in seafood and it is located somewhere in the middle of Gurney Drive Penang. The slogan of the restaurant called "If It Swims We Have It". Sounds cool huh!!

It was always crowded on weekends.

They stock a lot of varieties of seafood. Each aquarium has its individual seafood.

Varieties of fishes are available here.

Can anyone tells me what does this fish called??

They called this "GeoDuck" which look weird and sounds weird too. Haha

Spider Crabs. It is damn expensive which cost RM25--30 per 100G.

Green Lobster and Rainbow Lobster. RM15--18 per 100G..

What's that?? It's Abalon! Fresh Abalon RM32 per 100G.

Black Pepper Crabs. It tasted good.

So called "Petai" in Malay.

Fried Noodles with oysters. Tasted good too!

Mushroom?? Forgot the name!! Sry,, ^_^

Not sure what does this soup called.. as long as it is a soup.. *_*

Apple juice and Orange juice.. Not bad too!

After the meal, you can have a walk along the Gurney drive and enjoy the scenic view of the sea.

Sibu Rainforest Hash Run - 23.11.08

I went for the hash run yesterday which was organized by the Rainforest Club every Sundays at the different venues. The venue for hash run yesterday was at the jungle behind the Huge Temple along the Sibu to Bintulu Road.

There was a briefing for the First Timer. You need to take down you name and pay RM5 for adult and RM3 for children for the run fee at the registration counter.

In a hash, the participants walk at their own pace and at their own risk.

The route for the hash run is a bit challenging.

I enjoyed the hashing every much and it took 1 hours for the whole journey.

After the hash, you can have a free soft drink. For those who are interested, the venue for the next hash run will be at "Kemuyang" and it starts at 4pm.

Kampua noodles can be found at almost all coffee shops and food stalls in Sibu. If you are looking for the best kampua in Sibu, it can be found at "Sin Ming Kee Cafe". It is one of the famous Kampua stall in Sibu . For those who live in Sibu, i think you might know it. It is located at Jalan Ling Kai Cheng which behind the Comfort Furniture.

Choon Seng Coffee Shop served the best coffee in Sibu. They grind the coffee beans itself. It is located at Jalan Seduan which near the to Wong Nai Siong Memorial park.

Top 1 Rojak - Bintangor (Sarawak)

I'm here to blogging again since I've not blogging for 3days!! Ok, i went to Bintangor yesterday just to have a Rojak since everyone says that Bintangor Rojak is the best in Sarawak and some more Malaysia.

For those who don't know where is Bintangor, it is a town in Sarikei division and is around 35-45 minutes drive from Sibu. Bintangor is famous for its green oranges and also Rojak.

The stall that selling best Rojak called "Wong Hung Ping" which is stall No.7

This is how the so called best rojak in Malaysia looks like.

I will give 99.9% for the Rojak. *Thumb up*
I like it because there are a lot of grind peanuts of top and the Rojak's taste is definitely different from the others.

I'm enjoying it a lot. Yummy..

Besides Rojak, the Chedol is also not bad.

My Dream Office

What type of job do you dream about? Some of us know from the time we are very young what we want to do when we grow up. Others are still trying to figure that out.

For me, i always dream to be a pilot when i was young.

Controlling the instrument panels, communicating with air traffic control, calculating take off and landing weights and others are my dream too.

If i am a pilot, it can makes my dream to traveling around the world into reality. Without paying any single of $$. ^_^

So please don't be shocked if you heard "Captain Victor" announcing the weather report in the aircraft one day. Haha..

Mr. & Mrs. Ng with their 3 lovely daughters

Once upon a time in Singapore, there lived a happy couple,
Mr. & Mrs. Ng with their 3 lovely daughters; Elaine, Ena & Ella.

The 3 daughters were brought up in a prim-and-proper way and when they reached 20,
they were still virgins.

Years passed, and it was time to get them married.

So, the parents found them the most suitable ' leng chais' (handsome guys).

They got married and were preparing to set-off on their honeymoon.

As 'concerned' (more like 'kay-poh') parents,
Mr.& Mrs. Ng were curious about their daughters' first-night experience.

So, before the daughters went on their respective honeymoons,
Mrs. Ng told them......
'Your father and I want to know about your 1st night encounters
and whether you are satisfied.
Write a letter to us, but as not to raise your husbands' curiosity...
you all must use a code-name to describe your experiences' .

So, the excited daughters were off. A week passed.

Mr. & Mrs. Ng got the first letter. It was from Elaine.

They opened the letter and found the word STANDARD CHARTERED.
They immediately took the newspaper and looked for the Standard Chartered advertisement.
'Ah! here it is!', exclaimed Mr. Ng.
The motto for Standard Chartered was...
'BIG, STRONG & FRIENDLY'

Mr & Mrs. Ng were happy.

A week later, they got another letter.
This time it was from Ena. The content was simple.
'NESCAFE'. So, again they took the newspaper and looked for the Nescafe ad.
'Ah! here it is.
'NESCAFE: PLEASURE TILL THE LAST DROP'.

Mr. & Mrs. Ng beamed with joy.

Another week passed.
A month passed.
And another.
There was still no letter from Ella.

The Ngs became worried.

Finally, the letter came.
It was scribbled and could hardly be read,
but Mrs. Ng managed to figure it out.
The code-name was 'SINGAPORE AIRLINES'.
Why Singapore Airlines?
Mr.Ng rushed to the nearest store and got a newspaper.
He flipped the pages frantically.
'Ah! Here it is!'
Mrs. Ng grabbed the page and read aloud.
Before she could finish ...
THUMP!!!. ..she fell off her chair.
The motto was ...
'7 TIMES A WEEK. 4 TO 6 TIMES A DAY. NON-STOP'.

The four-faced Brahma in Bangkok City

The Erawan Shrine (Phra Phrom aka Four-faced God) is a Hindu shrine in Bangkok City that houses in a statue Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of the Hindu creation god Brahma.

It is a popular tourist attraction. The Shrine is located by the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel and that area has a lot of shopping malls nearby. One of the famous shopping center is Central World which just opposite to the shrine.

Worshipers of Phra Phrom usually offers jasmine flowers in their worship.

Another common way of worship is to place the wooden elephant statues on the altar to him honor.

Phra Phrom is also admire Thai Classical music, which is played near the altar accompanied by the dancers.

It was always crowded on the day time.

Bukit Aup Jubilee Park Sibu

Bukit Aup Jubilee Park is located 10km far from Sibu town which is around 15-20 minutes drive from town. It is open daily from 8.00am to 6pm and the admission is free.

It is a good place for family outing and exercise. I used to go there jogging when i was free.

There is a suspension bridge, a canteen, picnic huts, little lack and tracks for joggers.

Try to get up to the highest peak where there is a tower there. It offers a scenic view of Igan river and countryside.

This is a special place for Sibu people to relax and keep away the hectic town life. Sibu people used to come here for picnic and gathering.

Kids were feeding the fishes beside the lake.

Seven Star General Tigers Temple - Sibu

Had a wonderful weekend with BengBeng and William again. We had planned to go Seven Star General Tiger Temple which located somewhere around in Sg. Teku and it took 20 minutes to drive there.

Seven Star General Tigers Temple has a very unique design which totally different with other temples and it just looks like a cave.

This is the main door of the temple that reserved for the Seven Star General Tigers and it usually open on the 29th of the Chinese lunar. For us, we're just allowed to enter through the side doors which is smaller than the main door.

There are Seven General Tigers statues inside the temple.

The red tiger god was on the left of the main entrance.

The blue tiger god with a crystal ball on his hand. It can see every single thing that we're doing now.

They even made the incenses with a tiger on it.

"Wish candle" that i bought in the temple which are generally colorful and made in the shape of a flower. They are usually placed on a table in front of the incense burner.

Farewell Dinner for Siew Ming

A farewell dinner for Siew Ming (my cousin colleague) was held at Ark Gallery Cafe yesterday night. Siew Ming was promoted to other department but still in the same company. So my cousin's colleagues intended to have a farewell dinner for her. My cousin told me that all the laughter will be lesser if without her in the office. (i hope i have such colleagues in my office too)

Jungle Trekking in Similajau National Park - Part 3

There are many ways to do in Similajau National Park, one of the best ways is to go Jungle Trekking. For those who love Jungle trekking, Similajau probably is you best choice. There are few Trails that you can hike which are, View point (1.3km), Batu Ancau (1.35km), Selunsur Rapid (7.86km), Turtle Beach (8.0km) and Golden Beach (9.8km). For nature lovers, it is a good place for you.

Trail plan of Similajau National Park. We just managed to hike to the view point due to the time limited.

Our journey start on this suspension bridge.

Beware of Crocodile.. Even though such warning sign are put, till today no crocodile attacked are reported in the park. So please be careful when you are in Similajau, otherwise you will be the first one.

Our thirty six minutes journey down the swampy jungle, was however very interesting, and we managed to see some wonderful trees and plants.

Trip to Similajau National Park Bintulu - Part 2

I love beach just like how everyone else loves it. Maybe it is because that my hometown doesn't have any beach. That's the reason why everyone in my hometown prefers to have their vacation at the places that with beaches.

Alright, here's the beach of Similajau National Park. The weather wasn't so good and it was coudly. Luckily it didn't rain. So we had a lot of fun there.

First, we played some childhood game that i never played it before.

We were having a group discussion that we discussed about how to defeat them.

Arm-wresting between male and female.. haha..

and we had a chicken fighting at the beach..

ermm.. Brokeback mountain..

After that, we decided to cover Hilda by using the sand. And we make it with breast and pregnant.

Dr. Fredrick was there to help Hilda to give birth.

It was fun!

Trip to Similajau National Park - Part 1

I'm BACK!! After two days trip to Similajau National Park Bintulu and finally i'm home here to blog. Ok, wanna write about some of the intesting things that we did in Similajau National Park.

Where is Similajau????
Similajau national park is situated in Bintulu division which is about 30km from Bintulu town. (30min drive from Bintulu town). The national park provides recreational ground for the people within the central region of Sarawak. Similajau is rich in flora and fauna that provided nature lovers with rich experience and activities.

Our gang! Before we depart to Bintulu ,we had our breakfast at Lot 9 Cafe.

When we arrived in Bintulu, we had Bak Kut Teh for our lunch at 888 Cafe.
It was good. *thumb up*

After 30min drive from Bintulu town, we finally arrived at our destination. The entrance fee cost RM20 per person, but if you're register on group, it is a lot cheaper. 10person for RM80 by group.

The Similajau National Park are owned by Sarawak forestry.

There is a mini museum which is just beside the registration room. Photo are allowed in there.

I'm just curious about what it is made.. haha ^_^

No Hunting, No Cutting of Trees, No Littering and No Open Fire are allowed here.

Similajau National Park has various species of plants, trees and wildlife which makes the trip more adventurous.

This is the Chalet that we rented. Cost Rm150 per night if i not mistaken.

This is how the room looks like. There is no aircond but it is cool enough.

12 out of 20 marine mammals recorded in Malaysia occur in Sarawak. There include Whales, Dugongs and Dolphins. Five species of dolphin recorded in Bintulu waters. Unfortunately, we didn't see any dolphin here.

Tropical Fruits in Malaysia

There are variety of Tropical fruits that you can found in William's Fruit Orchard besides than Durians. It's a truly educational fun time and we were in fruit season.

Papayas.. one of my all time favorite tropical fruits. It is good for health, it helps to prevent heart diseases.

Cocoa.. a.k.a (Koko) in Malay.

The black dots are the seeds of Cocoa from which Chocolate is made. To make 1kg of Chocolate, about 300-600 beans are processed.

Cempedak... The outer of the fruit is slightly sticky.

Coconuts..

Rambutan.

Sweet and nice.. hmm..

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.. It's Star Fruit...

so called "DABAI" in malay and BengBeng called it "Sarawakian Olive". Normally they mixed it together with soya sauces and sugar.

These are the seeds of the Dabai. The insides of the seeds can be eaten too.It's Tasteless!

Guess what's this? This is the tool that use to removing the stem from the pepper pods.

This is the machine used to making Soya Milk. You need to use your hand to operate it.

The King of the Fruit - Durians

I had a wonderful weekend with William and BengBeng at William's fruit orchard a.k.a William's ancestral village. It is located at rural Sg. Teku where you need to drive 20minutes from Sibu town.

This is the main purpose that we went there. Durian season is here again. You either love them or hate them. I've been seeing those big, thorny, smelly fruits every time and everywhere in my hometown.

Durians have a strong smell and a unique taste. My friend told me that the durian tastes like heaven and the smells like hell. But too bad, I'm not a durian lover!

This is the guy who has a great skill to open the durians without using any gloves

The durian trees are relatively large, growing to 25-50 metres in height depending on the species.

You can found Durians everywhere and every corner around the orchard.

William and Bengbeng were hunting for Durians.

Few days ago, we decided to have BBQ Steamboat for dinner at Twin Star BBQ Steamboat House which just opened few weeks ago.

It is a BBQ Steamboat Buffet which you just need to pay RM19.00 for adult, RM9.00 for children below 5ft and it's free for children below 3ft. For the left over foods, you need to pay RM3.00 per 100gm.

They have a wide selection of foods. BBQ and Steamboat items like pepper chicken, Plain beef, lamb, crab balls, meat balls, sotong balls, crab, prawn and etc.

I was at Le Ark Cafe Gallery with my cousin (Loke) and Shi Hao few days ago that attacted by the cool design of the building. Le Ark Cafe Gallery is a cool place where you can enjoy a nice waterfront view and a great atmosphere. It is a newly opened cafe which located at esplanade and it's just behind Li Hua hotel Sibu.

The design in Le Ark Cafe is very unique and it is a good place for you hang out with friends.

There is an old tree in the middle of the cafe which made the atmosphere better.

The foods and drinks in Le Ark Cafe aren't too expensive. Yong Chow Fried Rice that served with Keropok and salad that my cousin ordered. RM6.50

Last week, when i was surfing the net as usual and i found this on Lelong.com.my which i wanted to buy so for long. So i ordered one for my Myvi and the goods had arrived yesterday. This was my first time that i bought something online and luckily the goods did arrived with a good condition.

This is how the lid cover looks like. The colour of the Lid cover is Olive Green which suit to my myvi's colour.

"Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!

Dim Sum Buffet - Sri Petaling Kuala Lumpur

In Hong Kong, many Dim Sum restaurant start serving Dim Sum as early as five in the morning. It is a tradition for the elderly to gather to eat dim sum after morning exercises and enjoying the morning newspapers. But in Malaysia, we often sleep until nine or ten in the morning on Sundays and look for a nice breakfast around the town.

There is a Buffet Restaurant which serves Dim Sum buffet in Sri Petaling KL. It is usually served in the morning until noon and it's crowded on weekends morning. The price for the Dim Sum buffet is quite reasonable that everyone can afford for it. RM14.50 per person. (Sorry, i forgot the name of the restaurant) XD

I went there together with my cousins with our stomach which are totally empty. While the waitress came to our table with her dim sum trolley, we just asked her to put all the dim sums on her trolley to our table and she stunned a while. lols

First of all, i would like to say "Selamat Hari Raya Aidlifitri" to all Malays and happy holidays to all the Malaysian and Singaporean!

When i was on my way back from town yesterday evening, i saw a big signboard showing that "Lemang Special Berlemak , Dijamin!!!" (Lemang Special with coconut milk, Guarantee!!!) on the roadside of the Kampung.
"Lemang = Glutinous rice cooked with coconut milk in bamboo"
Guarantee??? I was attracted by the word "guarantee" then i hopped down from my car and bought two Lemang.
" 1 for RM10" . When i was home, i quicky opened one of the bamboo stalk and i found that 40% of the rice inside the bamboo are uncooked!! T__T

I woke up at 5.30 a.m this morning and went to Stadium together with my cousin Ahniss for some exercise work. His workplace (Ta Ann Holdings Berhad) is organizes an exercise program every Saturdays morning at 6.00am.

First, they will have an aerobic dance cum warming up for 15 minutes. After warming up, it's time for the jogging part (8 Laps). I ran together with them this morning and i could only ran for 3 laps. I was exhausted after that. ;) Some of them seem like tireless after ran for 8 laps. Huh!

Hmm.. i not good in drawing, i know!

I was so tired i could barely stand up now. I think i should go for more exercise to be able to run for 8 laps next time. ^_^

Did you know, how to bake potatoes by using Dirt?

Making dirt clods and make a hollow pyramid by using dirt.

Arrange in a stack by using dirt.

Done, a hollow pyramid made by dirt.

Heat up the dirt by burning some firewood

Heat the dirt up for 40-60 minutes. (Damn long)

Smash down the pyramid and wrapped the potatoes up by the hot dirt for 1hour (huh, another 1hour T_T )

We played some games while we waiting for our potatoes to be done.

The 15th day of the 8th month on the lunar calendar is the main day of the festival. It was the Mid Autumn Moon Festival and also known as the moon festival (Zhong Qiu Zie).

Families will go out after family reunion dinner with their lanterns for moon gazing. Chinese people believe on that day, the moon will be the roundest and brightest. But unfortunately, the roundest and brightest moon was covered by the thick clouds due to the cloudy day.

Eating moon-cakes, playing with lanterns and candles is a tradition on Mid Autumn Festival

I went for carrying Lanterns with my friends in Rejang Park playground last night and it was crowded. I picked different colors of Lanterns which represented " Red- Happiness, Green- Harmony, Health and Peace, Yellow- Against evil, geomantic blessing, and Orange- Strength and Wealth.

On the national day, i went to Sarikei with my family to grab some Pineapple Fruit. The weather isn't good enough as we thought. It's raining all the way from Sibu to Sarikei. But, luckily the rain stopped when we reached in Sarikei.

The Sarikie district population was 66,110.
The economy of the town is primarily agricultural, and Sarikei is famed for its pineapple.

The price of the pineapple is quite cheap as compared to Sibu. RM2 - 3 each . It's depend on the size of the pineapple.

The pineapple can be found every around the corner in the market.

We bought it for RM10 for 4 pineapples.

Before we leave Sarikei, we went for a quick shopping in a Supermarket called "Everwin".

There are few Handicrafts Stores that you can found in Durin town that produce their own unique style of Handicrafts. Most of the products are made by "Rattan". For e.g "Rattan Chairs", "Rattan Baskets", "Rattan Handbag", "Rattan Hats", "Rattan Tray", and Etc.

If you have a time to visit here, you will find prices almost half of what you find in others cities.

After our adventure in Julau, we continued our journey to Kanowit and it took 40minutes drive from Julau to Kanowit. BengBeng was so happy to finally reach in Kanowit after long journey.
Kanowit is a town. It is located within the Sibu division, Sarawak and Kanowit's population is 28,600.

When we reached in Kanowit, the event of "Pesta Kanowit" was over. We were late, but it's ok for us, so we just walked around in Kanowit town.

First, we went to a temple in the town area.

There was a flea market in Kanowit due to the Pesta Kanowit.
The goods are inexpensive and it is quite valuable to buy.

Sibu to Julau Sarawak Trip with Mylongkang

Yesterday, i went to Julau together with Mylongkang "BengBeng". We supposed to go Kanawit for the “Pesta Kanawit” but then we lost our ways. After that, we saw a sign of “JULAU”, so both of us are curious about it. So we managed to go there to have a visit first.

Julau is a town, and the capital of Julau District in Sarikei Division, Sarawak, East Malaysia. The district population was 34,500.

Before we start our Photohunting in Julau, we went for the vegetarian coffee shop for breakfast.
I ordered a plate of Kampua mee and BengBeng ordered a Cha Kuew Tiaw.
Look at the meats on my Noodles, it's "FAKE". First, i thought its was a real Meats but after i tasted it, it's made by a beans.

Apparently this is still commonly used here at Julau. They called it "sampam" in Malay.

Cheng Huang Temple — The temple of the City God

Hsinchu City god Temple (Cheng Huang Temple) is regarded as the highest-ranking of all City God temples in Taiwan, due to the superior spiritual power of its City God in protecting the town.

In front of the temple is a market with a lot of small stalls selling delicious Taiwanese snacks.

This is one of my favorite comic called Mr. Kiasu.
"Kiasu"is a Hokkien word that literally means "fear of losing"

Examples of kiasu behaviour includes accumulating too much food on one's plate during a buffet lunch in case there is no more later, or joining a queue many days in advance just to ensure that one successfully gets hold of the limited free tickets to events, promotions and shows such as Singapore's annual National Day Parade.

Tuk-Tuk Car in Bangkok

The Tuk-Tuk is a small car with three wheels that you can found everywhere in Thailand especially in Bangkok Streets.

Often tourist can be seen inside the Tuk Tuk car.

Before sitting inside, one thing you should do is negotiate the price as low as possible.
In Bangkok, it is not always a good idea to sit in a TukTuk car due to the heat and exhausted pipe of the other cars during traffic jams.

There are more than three hundred night markets in Taiwan. In Taiwan, night markets are known for its specialty xiaochi food items. It`s a place to enjoy all the fun of the traditional night market and to try out the various tasty snacks on offer.

This is one of the night market in Taiwan where's located in TouFen (Between Hshin-chu and Miou-Li)

Specific foods will often change from year to year with passing fads and become characteristic snacks of Taiwan, such as oyster omelet, Taiwanese Fried Chicken Breast, and stinky tofu persist.

You could probably eat a new food at a new stall every night for the rest of your life. However, there are common snacks you're likely to find at all night markets.

Chou dofu. Oh, the bane of stinky tofu. People either love it or hate it. Your nose will tell you where to find this smelly stuff.

Not only is food served in night markets, but also a lot of products are sold.

There are also some games in the night market, you can play the games by paying a few coins.

We were enjoying the stinky tofu. taste great!!
